New Art Quilt

Here is my latest quilt. The background is 100% low water immersion dyed cotton. I put fusible on the back of the yardage and randomly cut squares and fused them to the batting. Then I did some free motion quilting of the ground and sky areas. Last, I fused my tulips. This is a great piece that will brighten up any day!

Thanks for the kind words! My use of fabric here is very similar to your use of beads. Each of the squares in the background is similar to a seed bead, adding color side by side, gradating into one another.

Very soothing...like a spring afternoon with nothing pressing to do but appreciate the flowers.
