New Art Quilts

Here is one of my first attempts at fusing a quilt top. I used twelve colors of low water immersion dyed cloth to create this. I like the way that I can compose the top and have the flexibility to re-arrange the pieces before the final fusing. I have Melody Johnson's blog to thank for this new approach!

This new quilt was made with both dyed and painted cloth. I used Setacolor Shimmers to make circles in the border and little wisps around the pieced center. Click on the image for a larger view.

These are really great. Love the colors in both of them. I also like you bead work.
